OUR FOUNDER

Born and raised in Metro Detroit, Reisa Shanaman developed a deep love for electronic music through her older brother, Dave. As a freelance music journalist, she has covered events from Time Warp, Electric Forest, Movement Electronic Music Festival, and Charivari, to artists and industry professionals including Jeff Mills, Stacey Pullen, Kevin Saunderson, Kerri Chandler, Matrixxman, ADULT., and Sam Valenti. Her work has been published by DJ Mag, Mixmag, DJ Times, VICE, XLR8R, and Detroit Electronic Quarterly.

Post-pandemic, Reisa greeted revelers as the door person for a number of Detroit's underground venues and promoters, and served as Talent Buyer, Marketing Manager, and Logistics Coordinator for The Marble Bar. She is the Interdimensional Coordinator for Interdimensional Transmissions, and the Detroit Sales Rep for 1of1 Custom USA.

Reisa resides in downtown Detroit with her cat Rufio, where few things bring her more joy than dance floors, disco balls, and her view of the city's skyline.

OUR STORY

A beloved member and true pillar of Detroit's electronic music community, Reisa's brother Dave received numerous complaints about his "Bass Pulses" from a neighbor—which he would gleefully show off to guests any opportunity he got. He never turned them down, and neither will we.
