For well over a decade, TYLR_ has been soaking up Detroit’s diverse culture and unique sound, meticulously molding his multifaceted experiences into a one-of-a-kind blend of deep house, soulful melodies, and empowering vocals. In that time, he has had the honor of playing alongside and learning from countless local luminaries. Melding their iconic influence and his innate talent, his mixes are far-ranging, fluidly combining breaths of nostalgia with modern beats. A resident at Spot Lite and SPKRBOX, and regular on the city’s late-night circuit, he has played clubs both mainstream and underground all across the country, and has performed at Movement Electronic Music Festival, Motor City Pride, and Charivari. As a promoter, TYLR_  has been part of the creation of iconic, era-defining parties that include BAK DØR, Porno Disco, HUNNI, and HUSH.

 

As a gay artist and promoter, TYLR_ is proud to represent the queer community. He is passionate about cultivating immersive, affirming environments, and mentoring emerging talent–especially within the LGBTQ+ community. Standing squarely at the intersection of creativity, innovation, and inclusivity, his sets are injected with music that has defined gay dance floor culture from the past and present, confidently carrying the torch and shaping the sound of its future.
